    This post will cover some of the FAQs for the main church website.

    1) I can't view the Annoucements on the "News and Events" page.

    Answer: The announcements sheet is available in Flash format. If you cannot view it, go to "http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer" (copy and paste the link into a new web browser without the quotes). Follow the instructions on the website to install Flash Player. You should now be able to view the announcements.
    There is also a link to get Flash on the News and Events page.


    2) I can't open other documents you have for download.

    Answer: We use three different file formats for downloadable documents.

    i) The most common is Adobe's PDF format, which opens in Acrobat Reader. We use this because it is free for you to download and install.
    To get it, go to "http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html" (copy and paste the link into a new web browser without the quotes).
    There are also instructions on the Church website where PDF files are available.

    ii) We offer Microsoft Word Documents for the weekly announcement sheets for those who have Microsoft Office installed. Word documents are only available if the original document was submitted for upload in that format.

    iii) The third file format is Adobe's Flash. This is a browser plug-in and is required to view any of our embedded documents. If you have Flash installed, you can quickly open a document in full-screen and can view a preview of the document on the webpage itself.
    To get it, go to "http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer" (copy and paste the link into a new web browser without the quotes).

    3) I am a leader of an organisation and would like my organisation added to the list.

    Answer: The instructions for this are on the Organisations page. Email website@firstlisburn.org with your name, organisation, and organisation info.
