The main aim of Sunday School is to present the Christian faith to our children and young people in ways that encourage them to place their faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord and to become full and active members of the church. We aim to work in partnership with parents and we firmly believe that a modern Sunday School programme, presented in a relevant way, is an integral and important part of our congregational life.
We meet each Sunday morning from 11:20 a.m. until about 12:10 p.m. Children and parents worship as a family for the first 20 minutes of our Service and then children and young people leave to join their groups in Sunday School. Usually on the final Sunday of each month we have an All Age Service in which families worship together for the entire Service.
Attendance in all age groups—Beginners to Form 3+—ranges between 50 and 65. Parents, please do encourage your children to attend regularly; they will receive a very warm welcome from committed leaders in a caring environment. You will notice an encouraging “buzz” of young family involvement.
